Whangarei Fringe is partnering with Creative Technology Northland to host Fringe Lab at 130 Cameron Street, Whangarei from the 20th to the 24th October, 10am to 4pm.
Workshops, residencies and installations are planned for the week to showcase creative tech in Northland and alsoto allow cool people to hang out together and make stuff.
Talks and Workshops:
- Martin Knoche will be giving a talk Tuesday at 2pm on “A brief history of AI…with random cool examples”
- Quarry Arts Centre and Jarred Taylor are running two virtual world workshops Thursday morning 22nd October.
- AwhiWorld are running workshops on augmented reality (Thursday afternoon) and Arduino during the week. They are also prototyping their new physical interactive work Traces COVID-19
NorthTec digital arts will be running their scheduled classes at FringeLab during the week on App Development and AV Installation.
We also have web developers and user experience designers working in residence who can answer questions on their profession.
In the evening we are doing some experimental projection from within the building visible at street level.

The week long innovation and hang out lab is collaboratively funded by a core group of creative technologists from within the CTN network.
